Update on Swings and Long Term

For those of you that like to swing trade and are interested in hearing about additions to my long term accounts I wanted to provide and update here on my approach.

After swinging the index short from 4560 to my 4300s target I day traded until we found a bottom. We then initiated a swing long in the stack at 4270 into 4400s (I trail stopped on the last of my position on vacation).

As of now we have a poor low AND a poor low AND a poor high and it truly could go either way. Thus I’m not looking to “guess” and swing the index OR many individual names until there is more clarity. So if the feed is day trade heavy that is why. Once we get some additional clarity there will be more swing positions and changes to my investment accounts. An example of this would be taking out recent lows with some nice excess, I would be looking for swing longs and adding to investment positions. I swing for the meat of the move and then day trade as we approach exhaustion.
